Flash Gordon - Cult classic B movie with a criminally insane bird man.
Fandango - Kevin Costner buddy road trip movie.
Katt Williams comedy special - Might be funny if you're black.
Bill Buhr comedy special - Hilarious!
Time Traveler's Wife - A good time travel movie AND romance.
Time Bandits - British humor and B-movie special effects!
Hot Tub Time Machine - Funny time travel is back!
Watership Down - Animated film about rabbits.
Little Mermaid (WHAT? It's a great film!) - Disney classic
Aristrocrats - One joke, analyzed and told over and over again in very, very, very dirty ways.
David Hasselhoff Roast from Comedy Central - It's almost too easy to make fun of the Hoff.
A Clockwork Orange - Weird Kubrick film (that's redundant, I know) about teens that get in trouble with the law.
Highlander - It's a cult classic but I didn't think it was really that great.
Southpark's latest episode - Funny, and I don't even like Southpark!
X-Men - A great superhero comic book film!
X-Men 2 - Better than the first!
X-Men: Wolverine - A good film but you should stop watching before the boxing fight with the Blob.
In my estimation, Fandango was the single best film watched. All but forgotten except for the name of the movie ticket website, this film really dynamic characters and an interesting plot. Just plain fun.

While we did have a good time and look forward to our next joint summit, I feel your movie reviews are a bit lacking in description. If someone never saw those films, I believe they would be misinformed or, at the least, unenlightened to what the films are about. So let me do the work for you.
ReplyDeleteFlash Gordon - Big Budget / Bad Sci-Fi movie. So much cheese even a mouse would become lactose intolerant. Still, it has its charm. And performances by Max Von Sydow and Brian Blessed are outstanding. Wonderful campy fair that pays homage to the classic serials that is the basis for this movie. While not a great movie, it will entertain. Plus an entire Queen Soundtrack.
Fandango - more than just a road trip movie, a coming of age tale that follows 5 college graduates set in the early 70's as they embark on one last "fandango" together. Very funny, yet pulls on the heart strings at times. A movie that poignantly illustrates the transition into adulthood as the protagonists must deal with impending responsibilities and to say goodbye.
Time Bandits - The first of Terry Gilliam's Trilogy of the Absurd. This story follows a young boy named Kevin who is whisked away from his bedroom by 6 dwarves who stole a map of the universe that shows where the "time holes" are. The Dwarves use this knowledge to steal valuable treasure from across time....or, so they try. If you're a fan of Dr. Who and Red Dwarf, HGTTG, etc, than this is right up your ally.
A Clockwork Orange - In future Britain, charismatic delinquent Alex DeLarge is jailed and volunteers for an experimental aversion therapy developed by the government in an effort to solve society's crime problem... but not all goes to plan.
Highlander - An immortal Scottish swordsman must confront the last of his immortal opponent, a murderously brutal barbarian who lusts for the fabled "Prize". Again, an all Queen Soundtrack. Classic cult film.
The Little Mermaid - A half fish girl on the verge of womanhood gets a pair of human legs and I get a boner. (Sorry, I just had to say it)
