Confessions of a Gamer's Wife

Most of you reading this probably take for granted the complexities and inner workings of the gaming world. Those of us "outsiders" that have never experienced this world before, may find it a little bizarre. " Geekish" even. I have been a wife of one of the proud members of this gaming group for almost twenty years and thought I understood these proud but somewhat different people well. I then decided to try and embrace everything about my husband, I would try and enter his way of life a little more. See what the big hubbub was about once a week while I sit at home waiting for my hubby to arrive. After all, the guys in the group seemed normal enough and I actually liked talking to them and hanging out with them. So after talking to my hubby, he thought it would be a great idea for me to enter this world with him. He was more than happy to share this part of his life with me and was excited at the notion that I was interested. So........I began an ongoing quest that has been taking me to interesting places, both with the group and with in myself. I will be posting these observations and revelations with you all in an attempt to explain what's it's like for us outsiders to be let into the fold, and maybe let anyone else that is a newbie like me know that you are not alone. I hope everyone enjoys the journey with me cause let me tell you...some of it is exhilarating, and sometimes it is terrifying! But all of it ( so far ) has been very worth it.
